hello!

I'm Paige Winter, a senior Industrial Design student at Iowa State with a minor in Illustration. I've always been drawn to creative outlets like art and photography, and it high school I discovered an interest in engineering that stuck. Now, I bring those two sides together through both illustration and industrial design work, blending creativity and function in all my projects.

My portfolio reflects that mix, featuring product design projects alongside abstract image making, fine art, photography, and more. I enjoy finding the sweet spot between innovation and practicality, focusing on designs that are simple, thoughtful, and built to last.

Sustainability plays a big role in my design process. I prioritize longevity and intentional material choice to avoid contributing to disposal culture and unnecessary waste. Every design decision has a reason, and I value clarity over complexity.

At Iowa State, I'm involved as a peer mentor to first-year studios and serve as president of Women Who Design, a student organization dedicated to supporting and connecting women in the design field. Outside of design, I spend a lot of time with my family and being outdoors. I'm drawn to anything nature-related, hiking, biking, camping, and being outside whenever I can. I also love working on creative projects outside of school and teaching myself new forms of craft including photography and painting.
