Current weeding tools like spades and claw tools, are inaccurate, require excessive force, cause root damage, and dig up soil without actually extracting roots

THE SOLUTION

THE SOLUTION

A two-pronged end wraps around the root of the weeds and uses leverage to grab the whole root and pull it out without leaving fragments.

The first prototype was creating using a preexisting handle and cardboard to determine the final size and shape of components. It featured a two-pronged end for efficient weed removal and a fulcrum to use leverage instead of force, making it easier for older users.

The final model was constructed by laser cutting and heat forming polystyrene. The pieces were spray painted, sealed, and bolted together.
